Cry Freedom Review

1. Who was your favorite character from the film? Why?

There were some really interesting characters in this film that I liked it. First of all, the brave Doctor Ramphele and of course Donald Wood. But at last, the one that I liked the most was Steve Biko, he was such and admirable man, the leadership was in his veins, a very smart man, but not just smart but also brave, convinced of what he was doing at every moment.

2. What was your favorite scene from the film? Why?

My favorite scene was the speech of Biko before the football game starts, how he manages a speech completely calm. I liked it because of how the energy and encouragement was rising in every people who was there, even when they were there for a completely different reason. 

3. How does the film differ from the other films? Use the article from The Guardian to help you 

First of all it's like the first film we watch that isn't about de ANC and about the arm struggle. It's basically the same but showed from a new perspective, and for me, that's a better way to show. And also the film introduce us to a new hero, Steve Biko, one of the most important and influential southafrican leaders that we all never heard about.

1. In general, what did you like and dislike about the film? I liked the message they tried to give. Disliked the most of the movie jajajajaj it didn't make me angry but I laughed a lot, everything looked  like a cartoon version of the events and characters, I couldn't take the film serious because of that :( For example when they where right in between all the violence taking pictures like ninjas, that was hilarious, or when they walked into a party and everyone there was impressed and focused on these BackstreetBoys Rambo photographers (jajajajaj sorry if I'm rude, but there were a lot of hilarious situations in this film that took me completely out of it). 2.  How does the film make you think about your future role as journalists and film makers/producers/creators/directors? Catch a Fire - Review

1.- What I liked about this movie is the fact it wasn't focused on Mandela's life. I think it's a lot more interesting to see how the actual southafrican people lived this period and how apartheid affected them in their daily life. Also I really liked the cinematography in this movie, it was pretty well done, and it's so catching, I felt really into the movie at some point. The way Patrick changed during the plot development was pretty good, and also this movie had the most interesting characters, the movie in general felt more real, and it wasn't as morbid as the another two, because it's common to see like 234935 hours of hyper dramatic punishment in this kind of movies, so that's something I appreciate.
